Jenn O’Connor lives in Broadford with her husband and two children, building a life shaped by resilience, creativity, and deep community care. A motherless mother herself, she is passionate about finding and lifting up local mums, ensuring no woman feels alone in her journey.
Her path through motherhood has been anything but ordinary. She experienced sibling loss during pregnancy, worked from her hospital bed after giving birth, and quietly battled postpartum depression through the isolation of COVID. She moved her young family into her in-laws’ home, finding solace in its beauty and gardens, before purchasing a home of her own to restore and renew. For her second birth, she chose to advocate for herself, supported by a doula at her side.
Jenn works alongside her father in their family glass business, crafting windows for dream cars while helping care for their extended family. A lover of new hobbies—whether sewing, painting walls, or tackling power-tool projects—she brings creativity into everything she does.
As President of Broadford Community and District Garden Inc., Jenn champions local connection, fresh food access, and the belief that everyone deserves the knowledge and means to grow and prepare nourishing food at home.
