After falling pregnant in 2023, not long after moving to Mitchell Shire, Caity was eager to build her village and prepare for the journey into motherhood. She attended North Central Mothers Network’s first Pregnancy and Post Birth Expo in 2023, where she connected with a wide array of local businesses and support services. The experience enabled her to build a well-equipped toolkit in preparation for birth and her postpartum journey, providing confidence and connection during a transformative time.
Caity is a public servant who, outside of work, enjoys pottering around her property, tending to the animals and garden alongside her daughter — who much prefers being outdoors collecting the chook eggs. Photography serves as a creative outlet for Caity, and since 2022 she has volunteered her time capturing local events and festivals throughout Mitchell Shire.
After welcoming her daughter in 2024, Caity recognised just how impactful the Pregnancy & Post Birth Expo had been in supporting her transition into motherhood. Inspired to give back to the community that supported her, she joined North Central Mothers Network as a general member, assisting in the preparation and coordination of events — including photographing the annual expo which feels like a special full-circle moment for her.
