Bek is a local mum and primary school teacher who has lived in the Mitchell Shire since 2016. After starting their family journey in 2019, Bek and her husband faced infertility and underwent IVF. In 2022, they welcomed their beautiful daughter but sadly experienced a miscarriage in 2023. In 2024, they were blessed with a healthy son. Bek’s journey also included a traumatic birth, from which she has learned the importance of patience, hope, and gratitude.
Balancing two kids and full-time work since returning from maternity leave, Bek is passionate about supporting women through every stage of motherhood. Having navigated difficult experiences, she emphasises the value of seeking support from specialists and mental health professionals. Bek advocates for mums to connect and prioritise their mental health, believing every woman’s voice matters in their healthcare journey. She is committed to raising awareness that women have the right to advocate for themselves throughout their parenthood experience.
Bek initially joined as General Member in early 2025, and became Secretary in August 2026.
